The Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) marked another historic moment by holding the graduation ceremony for the 2024 cohort of Specialist Conservative Dentists on Thursday, 24 October 2024, at Grha Sabha Pramana. This event served as the culmination of an academically challenging journey for the graduates and a significant milestone in their contribution to conservative dentistry in Indonesia.
Amidst a proud and celebratory atmosphere, the graduation ceremony was attended by family members, friends, lecturers, and fellow professionals. The faculty leadership delivered speeches highlighting the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the graduates throughout their studies. Several awards were presented to outstanding graduates in recognition of their academic achievements and clinical innovations.
This event also reflected the long journey the graduates had undertaken, encompassing intensive education, clinical skill development, and the application of conservative approaches in dental care. “This graduation is not just a celebration but also a moment to reflect on the remarkable achievements and the significant contributions these graduates will continue to make in the future,” stated one of the faculty mentors.
As a symbol of their accomplishment, the newly graduated Specialist Conservative Dentists are expected to apply their knowledge to provide high-quality dental care. Moreover, they are encouraged to innovate in advancing the field of conservative dentistry and contribute to both academia and professional practice.
This graduation ceremony is also part of FKG UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by producing competent professionals to enhance dental healthcare services and Goal 4 (Quality Education) by offering excellent and innovative dental education.
