The Medical Korea Academy is a training program organized by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute for medical practitioners from various countries. This program aims to deepen medical knowledge and skills through training sessions in Korean hospitals while providing better insights into the country’s medical services. Korea is known for its high success rate in stroke treatment and a five-year cancer survival rate exceeding 70%, thanks to its high-quality medical services.
Since its inception, the program has trained 703 medical practitioners from 32 countries over the past 17 years, contributing to improved public health in their respective nations. As a key partner in international healthcare, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute continues to offer various training programs for doctors, dentists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals worldwide.
The program’s activities included the Opening Ceremony, training sessions such as Prosthodontics Clinic Orientation, Hands-on Prosthodontics, Oral Scanner Dentiform Scan, and Crown Fabrication. Additionally, participants observed clinical practices in prosthodontics, conservation, periodontics, and visited the Implant Center to study dental implant treatments. At the end of the program, participants received certificates of completion for the three-week training.
drg. Intan Ruspita, who took part in this program, stated, "The technology in Korea is highly advanced, and we need to continue learning to bridge the gap. Furthermore, digitalization has entered the field of dentistry, and its development is progressing rapidly."
This program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education. Through this training, participants are expected to gain new skills and knowledge that can be applied in their home countries, supporting the advancement of inclusive and high-quality medical education.
