Bali, 19-21 September 2024 — The Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center hosted the 17th Indonesian Association of Orthodontists Annual Meeting, an international scientific seminar featuring orthodontic practitioners and academics from around the world. This event serves as a key platform for orthodontic experts to share the latest information and developments in this discipline.
The Orthodontic Specialist Education Program (PPDGS) at FKG UGM actively participated in this prestigious event, sending a delegation composed of specialist program students and senior lecturers from the Department of Orthodontics. Their presence further solidifies UGM's position as a leading orthodontic education institution in Indonesia.
Over three days, the event, themed “Embracing the Current Contemporary Approach in Multidisciplinary Orthodontics,” highlighted the latest approaches to managing multidisciplinary orthodontic cases. The FKG UGM delegation actively engaged in seminars, panel discussions, and scientific presentations addressing modern orthodontic trends, including innovative orthodontic technologies and digital-based treatments.
The involvement of PPDGS Ortodonti FKG UGM in various sessions provided tangible benefits, enriching scientific knowledge and applying new techniques in clinical practice. They also had the opportunity to present their latest research conducted at FKG UGM, strengthening the institution's reputation at both national and international levels.
Additionally, the active participation of the UGM delegation in discussions and Q&A sessions enhanced their insights and practical experience, which will be applied in the fields of education and dental health services in Indonesia. This moment was also utilized to expand academic and professional networks with orthodontic experts from various countries.
By participating in scientific poster presentations, the UGM delegation showcased their contributions to orthodontic research, further asserting FKG UGM's role as a leading research center.
