The development of dental materials continues to be a significant topic in the academic world. On Monday, 25 November 2024, the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Jember (Unej), held its 9th expert lecture online via Zoom Meeting. The event featured Professor Dr. drg. Siti Sunarintyas, M.Kes., who presented a lecture titled "Development of Composite Resin for Dental Treatment."

The lecture was attended by undergraduate students and lecturers of FKG Unej. The session began with a welcoming speech from the Dean of FKG Unej, Drg. Dwi Kartika Apriyono, M.Kes., Sp.OF(K). During her presentation, Professor Siti explained the advantages of composite resin, its applications in dental procedures, and the challenges in its development.

"The use of composite resin must continue to evolve, especially to make it more affordable and effective. This is crucial to ensure equitable dental care for all communities," said Professor Siti.

The session was highly interactive, with many students actively participating and asking questions about composite resin technology. The online format allowed for broader participation, extending the reach of the knowledge shared. Through this event, Unej contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).
