Rieski Prihastuti, S.Kp.G, M.P.H., is a junior staff member in the Department of Preventive Dentistry and Public Health at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Known by the nickname Rieski, she graduated from the Dental Nursing Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, UGM, in 2013. Three years later, she pursued postgraduate education in Public Health, specializing in field epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, UGM.
She is a third-year doctoral student at the Graduate School of Oral Sciences, Tokushima University, Japan, focusing her research on behavioral changes in oral health. Additionally, she is interested in assessing oral conditions and their relationship with physical function in older people. Her deep interest in field epidemiology has driven her to research oral health issues in the community, leading her to participate in several research projects linking dental health with systemic health.
Rieski has received multiple education scholarships, locally, nationally, and internationally, including Operational Education Scholarships, Academic Potential Scholarships, Education Fund Management Agency Scholarships, and Monbukagakusho: MEXT Scholarships. During her postgraduate education, she has also been awarded Best Presenter honors in scientific seminars on multiple occasions.
