Dr. drg. Sri Budi Barunawati, M.Kes., Sp.Pros. Subsp PKIKG(K), commonly known as drg. Wanti, is a lecturer in the Department of Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (S1) degree in 2002 and her Master's (S2) in Dental Science in 2008, both from Universitas Gadjah Mada. She completed her Specialist Prosthodontics (Sp-1) training at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2012. Dr. Wanti received her Doctorate (S3) in Dental Science in 2020, and in November 2021, she attained the Consultant Prosthodontics (Sp-2) degree in Complex Implant Prosthodontics.
Dr. Wanti specializes in teaching Fixed Prosthodontics. Her current research focuses on Fixed Dentures. One of her ongoing research projects, which extends from her dissertation, investigates using natural materials from marine resources, specifically abalone shells, to stimulate dentin regeneration post-tooth preparation in Fixed Dentures' fabrication and reinforce prosthetic materials in dentistry.
She is actively involved in developing and innovating teaching methods, collaborating on international research projects, creating community service programs that provide prosthetics for underprivileged patients, participating in various research grants, and publishing her research in reputable journals. In addition to her teaching and research activities, Dr. Wanti has held several administrative roles, including Secretary of the Department of Prosthodontics from 2012 to 2021. She is the Head of the Specialist Prosthodontics Program for the 2021-2026 term. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and playing musical instruments.
