Surabaya, 27 February 2025 Surabaya, 27 February 2025 – Five students from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), successfully participated in the National Competency Examination (UKOMNAS) for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Dentist Education Program. This national exam was organized by the Collegium of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, and held at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.
The UGM participants were drg. Dimaz Aryo Nugroho Bandriananto, drg. Muhammad Fuadi, drg. Rizqan Maulana, drg. Tiara Oktavia Saputri, and drg. Fajar Januar Mirhard. They are students of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Program who had completed and passed both the Thesis Examination and the Comprehensive Examination.
The examination consisted of several stages, including theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, as well as analytical and communication abilities in handling various clinical cases related to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Notable achievements were recorded by UGM representatives. drg. Fajar Januar Mirhard earned a remarkable accomplishment by securing 1st place in UKOMNAS, achieving the highest score among all participants. In addition, drg. Tiara Oktavia Saputri also achieved excellence by winning in the Quick Slide (QS) session. These achievements reflect the high level of competence and dedication nurtured during their education at UGM.
The UGM Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program highly appreciates these accomplishments, hoping they will serve as motivation for other students to continually improve their competence and contribute to the field of specialist dentistry.
