Surabaya, 27 February 2025 – Five students from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Specialist Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully participated in the National Competency Examination (UKOMNAS) for the Specialist Dentist Profession Education Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The examination was organized by the Collegium of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and held at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.
The UGM representatives—drg. Dimaz Aryo Nugroho Bandriananto, drg. Muhammad Fuadi, drg. Rizqan Maulana, drg. Tiara Oktavia Saputri, and drg. Fajar Januar Mirhard—are OMS specialist students who have completed and passed both their thesis and comprehensive examinations.
The UKOMNAS tested various competencies, including theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and analytical and communication abilities in handling a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgery cases.
The OMS Program students made remarkable achievements. Drg. Fajar Januar Mirhard earned the highest distinction by placing first overall in the UKOMNAS, achieving the highest score among all participants. Additionally, drg. Tiara Oktavia Saputri excelled in the Quick Slide (QS) session, taking the top spot in that category. These accomplishments highlight the strong competence and dedication nurtured throughout their academic journey at UGM.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at UGM congratulates these outstanding students and hopes their success will inspire fellow learners to continually enhance their competencies and contribute to the advancement of specialist dental care in Indonesia.
