On Tuesday, 24 September 2024, Interdisciplinary Dentistry Skills Development Center (iDSDC) conducted an internal accreditation simulation as a strategic step to enhance the quality of education. This event is part of iDSDC's efforts to meet National Education Standards and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in relation to Quality Education (Goal 4).
The internal accreditation simulation was carried out to ensure that iDSDC's education and training units meet high standards in providing quality education and training.
Through this, iDSDC aims to boost its reputation and ensure that participants—including medical professionals, healthcare workers, academics, researchers, and other practitioners—can enhance their competencies and contribute to the health sector in Indonesia.
The event was attended by Dr. dr. Hanevi Djasri, MARS, FISQUA, and Ni Luh Putu Eka Putri Andayani, S.KM., M.Kes., who served as assessors from the Center for Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada (PKMK FK-KMK UGM).
During the event, the assessment team evaluated various aspects, including curriculum, infrastructure facilities, and quality management systems. The iDSDC team also carried out an accreditation simulation, which involved presentations about iDSDC, interviews, and document reviews.
"This accreditation simulation has motivated the iDSDC team to improve, enhance our understanding, and refine the iDSDC accreditation documents to optimize accreditation with the Directorate of Health Workforce Quality of the Indonesian Ministry of Health," said drg. Iffah Mardhiyah, M. Biomed, a member of the iDSDC team.
By improving the quality of education, iDSDC directly contributes to the achievement of Goal 4 (Quality Education). Quality education is key to developing individual and community capacities, enabling them to contribute to social and economic progress.
The internal accreditation simulation conducted by iDSDC is a significant step toward enhancing the quality of education and supporting the SDGs. With a focus on educational quality, iDSDC aims to set an example for other educational institutions in their efforts to improve the standards of education.
