Friday, 15 August 2025 — Hundreds of the academic community of FKG UGM crowded the field of the Dental Learning Center FKG UGM to enliven the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of Indonesia. Various competitions were held in an exciting and fun way, including: Blind March & Relay Race. “Today FKG UGM is so groovy , behind me right now the academic community of FKG UGM is celebrating the 80th Independence Day of Indonesia, it’s so lively and fun… there’s a blind march and a relay race competition,” said Prof. drg. Suryono, S.H., M.M., Ph.D as Dean of FKG UGM. This year’s theme was “United and Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia”, highlighting that independence was achieved through the extraordinary struggle of our heroes. “Let us fill this independence with something useful to build the nation and country, keep moving forward Indonesia, and may FKG UGM remain glorious,” concluded the Dean of FKG UGM.
The relay race was won by the Department of IKGM as first place, the Department of Orthodontics as second place, and the Educational Staff as third place. Meanwhile, the Blind March was won by the Department of Prosthodontics as first place, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as second place, and the Department of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology as third place.
