The event, attended by the DWP FKG UGM committee, aimed to foster love, strengthen kinship, and share compassion with others.
Wiwin Haswinatri, Chairperson of DWP FKG UGM, presented donations of women’s necessities, such as soap, shampoo, sanitary pads, and other daily essentials needed by the orphanage residents. “We want the young girls here to take care of themselves and maintain cleanliness, as taught by our religion,” she said.
In her speech, she added that as women, they must be diligent and studious to change their fate and elevate their status and that of those around them.
The social service program received a positive response from the head of the orphanage. Triyono expressed gratitude for the visit and the connection made. “We hope the presence of DWP FKG UGM will inspire the children at the orphanage to continue their education to higher levels,” he said.
