The series of events comprising the XII IPROSI Congress, 2nd Celebes Prosthodontics Conference (CPC), and The 2nd International Prosthodontics Annual Meeting (IPAM) officially took place in Makassar City from 5–8 November 2025. These national and international-scale events served as a strategic platform for bringing together academics, practitioners, and prosthodontic residents from universities across Indonesia.
This year’s activities aimed to strengthen professional networks, update scientific knowledge, and promote inter-institutional collaboration in prosthodontics, in line with technological advancements and the evolving needs of oral and dental health services in Indonesia.
MURI Record for the Installation of 315 Dentures for the Makassar Community
The event series opened with a Community Service program on 8 November 2025, conducted in collaboration among prosthodontics faculty members, the Indonesian Prosthodontic Association (IPROSI), and the Makassar City Government.
The program focused on oral and dental health education, denture fabrication, and post-installation care. It targeted edentulous individuals and elderly communities while highlighting the importance of prosthodontics in improving quality of life.
This initiative achieved a MURI Record with the installation of 315 dentures, the fabrication process of which was completed over six months. The activity coincided with the 418th Anniversary of Makassar City, drawing significant public attention.
