UGM Orthodontics Expert Speaks at Airlangga Annual Orthodontic Seminar

At the 3rd Airlangga Annual Orthodontic Seminar held at Bumi Surabaya City Resort, Dr. drg. Cendrawasih Andusyana Farmasyanti, M.Kes., Sp.Ort., delivered a presentation on managing patients with cleft lip and palate on 7 September 2024. This seminar served as an important platform for orthodontic professionals to explore the latest technologies and discuss challenges in the field.

One of the most anticipated moments of the seminar was the presentation by Dr. drg. Cendrawasih Andusyana Farmasyanti, M.Kes., Sp.Ort., Subsp. DDTK(K), a lecturer and head of the Orthodontics Department at Unviersitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). In her presentation, Dr. Cendrawasih provided an in-depth discussion on “Patient Profiles with Cleft Lip and Palate at Sardjito Hospital and RSGM UGM Yogyakarta.”

She outlined the challenges faced in managing patients with cleft lip and palate conditions, emphasizing that treatment requires multidisciplinary collaboration among various specialists. Dr. Cendrawasih also highlighted the important role of modern technology in enhancing diagnosis and treatment planning for patients, leading to optimal outcomes.

Participants, comprising orthodontic specialists and orthodontic residents, responded enthusiastically to the presentation. The interactive discussion and Q&A session reflected the participants' keen interest in the topics presented. This event not only facilitated knowledge sharing but also strengthened collaborative networks among orthodontic professionals in Indonesia.

Through this seminar, it is hoped that orthodontic experts can continue to enhance their competencies, keep up with the latest technological advancements, and provide higher quality dental care to the public. The ongoing technological innovations in orthodontics are expected to have a significant impact on patients, helping them achieve more confident smiles and improve their quality of life.
