Workshop on SIOBA by UGM's Master's Program in Dental Sciences

The Master's Program (S2) in Dental Sciences at FKG UGM conducted a Workshop on Initiating the Creation of SIOBA Portfolios on Wednesday, 22 May 2024. The event was attended by faculty members from the Master's Program in Dental Sciences

Sistem Informasi Outcome Based Assesment The Outcome-Based Assessment Information System (SI-OBA) is a system developed by UGM to facilitate program managers and course lecturers in processing student learning outcomes based on specific indicators outlined in the Semester Learning Activity Program Plan (RPKPS).

The initiation of portfolio development through SIOBA was organized by the home-based lecturers of the Master's Program in Dental Sciences at FKG UGM, resulting in seven portfolios. The evaluation outcomes indicate that outcome-based education in the Master's Program in Dental Sciences can support the program's achievements.

The Master's Program (S2) in Dental Sciences (IKG) at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, as one of the postgraduate programs, is firmly committed to producing graduates with reliable competencies who can actively participate in the development of dental sciences at both national and international levels and can apply their knowledge in the community. Efforts to realize the program's vision, mission, and goals include continuous learning process evaluation. 

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (Outcome Based Education) is an educational approach focused on the desired learning outcomes. Learning evaluations are conducted through SIOBA (Outcome Based Assessment Information System) Outcome Based AssessmentThis system aims to aid in evaluating the learning process based on student achievements. The evaluation results, documented in portfolios, are expected to continuously improve the learning process and create high-quality learning that mutually supports lecturers and students.

The initiatives undertaken by the Master's Program in Dental Sciences at FKG UGM will support the program's achievements and contribute to achieving SDG Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 16 on Building Strong Institutions. Various initiatives and programs designed with the Outcome Based Education approach can support providing inclusive and quality education for all.
