In its continuous efforts to maintain and enhance educational standards, the Dental Hygiene Study Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), underwent an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Wednesday, 9 October 2024. This audit is a key component of UGM's Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), conducted routinely to ensure the quality of academic programs, laboratories, and other educational units at UGM.
The virtual visitation was attended by two auditors: Dr. Ir. Sapto Indrioko, S.Hut., M.P., IP, from UGM's Faculty of Forestry, and Dr. drg. Dyah Irnawati, M.S, from FKG UGM. The event began with an opening presentation by the Head of the Dental Hygiene Study Program, Prof. Dr. drg. Regina TC. Tandelilin, MSc., PBO, who outlined the program's achievements, challenges, and future development plans. “We are committed to continuously improving the quality of education to produce outstanding and competitive graduates,” said Prof. Regina during her remarks.
The subsequent sessions included interactions between the auditors and students, alumni, and stakeholders, offering a platform to share perspectives on the program's quality and the impact of its graduates. Discussions with program faculty also encouraged the exchange of ideas to further enrich the student learning experience.
The event concluded with the presentation of audit findings, which will serve as a critical guideline for planning and developing the Dental Hygiene Study Program. These findings mark a concrete step in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
