The Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) conducted the Competency Examination for Professional Dentist Program Students (UKMP2DG) in the form of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on 8 June 2024. The examination occurred at the Dental Learning Center (DLC) FKG UGM and was attended by 58 participants. The exam started at 08:00 WIB and continued until 16:00 WIB.
"Tody, the clinical students will take the theoretical exam as a Computer-Based Test. This theoretical exam is to assess the knowledge of prospective dentists to ensure they meet competency standards," said the Head of the Professional Dentist Program, Dr. drg. Rurie Ratna Shantiningsih, MDSc.
To maintain integrity and adhere to procedures, the CBT exam was under strict supervision by external monitors. This supervision ensures that all participants follow the procedures honestly and professionally. The external monitors assigned to FKG UGM were drg. Sherli Diana, Sp.KG from Universitas Lambung Mangkurat and Dr. drg. Sopan Sinamo, Sp. Pros from Universitas Prima Indonesia.
One of the external monitors, drg. Sopan Sinamo expressed his hope that the exam would proceed smoothly as planned. He also advised all students to maximize their exam time and thoroughly read the questions.
Implementing the CBT exam is crucial in producing competent and reliable dentists. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 8, and 16, reflecting the commitment to producing competent dental graduates ready to contribute to the community for improved oral health quality.
