Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global commitment initiated by the United Nations to create a better, more inclusive, and sustainable life for people around the world. Within Universitas Gadjah Mada, the SDGs are integrated into education, research, governance, and community engagement as a tangible contribution to achieving the 17 global goals.
As part of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Faculty of Dentistry UGM is committed to supporting the achievement of the SDGs through the advancement of science and technology in oral and dental health, the improvement of educational quality, and community empowerment. This commitment is implemented through the synergy of the university’s tridharma education, research, and community service which are directed toward improving public health sustainably, strengthening collaboration, and encouraging innovations that have a broad impact on community welfare.
The Faculty of Dentistry UGM also actively integrates sustainability principles into various initiatives, ranging from the development of curricula that are adaptive to global needs, national and international collaborations, to the implementation of sustainable technologies and environmentally friendly campus practices. Through these efforts, the Faculty of Dentistry UGM serves not only as an educational institution, but also as an agent of change that contributes to the realization of inclusive, equitable, and sustainable health development.
