Enhancing Research Quality, UGM Dental Conservation Department Visits Thammasat University

The Conservation Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted a visit to the Faculty of Dentistry at Thammasat University on 17 January 2024. The team, comprising Dr. drg. Yulita Kristanti, M.Kes., Sp.KG (K), Dr. drg. Tunjung Nugraheni, M.Kes., Sp.KG (K), and drg. Rahmadani Puspitasari, MDSc., visited the Oral Biology Laboratory to deepen their knowledge and explore potential research collaboration.

“This laboratory is exceptional, equipped with various advanced tools that will support our future research,” said Dr. Yulita Kristanti. The laboratory features cutting-edge technology, such as confocal microscopes and cytoflex, which facilitate both micro and macro-level research.

Discussions were held with Thammasat University researchers to explore opportunities for joint research. drg. Tunjung Nugraheni highlighted the importance of cross-country collaboration to drive innovation in dental health.

Various modern, high-tech equipment is used for conducting experiments and analyses on both micro and macro scales. Advanced instruments available in the laboratory include confocal microscopes, cytoflex, and practical culture counters.

This visit supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goal), with hopes to strengthen research and educational development in both institutions and contribute to the global advancement of dental science.
