Specialist in Periodontics
The Specialist Study Program in Periodontology (PS Spesialis Periodonsia) at FKG UGM was established based on the UGM Rector's Decree dated 30 November 2016, with a vision and mission aligned with FKG UGM and UGM. The management of the study program utilizes a functional, operational, and public system with integrated management. The high prevalence of periodontal diseases and technological advancements drive a paradigm shift in dental health services. The goal is to improve the quality of graduates with high competencies in the field of periodontology. The community service program at the Specialist Study Program in Periodontology serves as a knowledge base and empowerment hub. Although most aspects align with institutional goals, some policies related to human resources development, database, and specific field development need continuous improvement. The Specialist Study Program in Periodontology FKG UGM aims to become a program that is "deeply rooted and soaring high" in line with UGM's aspirations.

To be a world-class Specialist Study Program in Periodontology at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, committed to national and humanitarian interests based on the cultural values and professionalism according to Pancasila.

To improve the oral health of the population in the periodontal field by providing excellent education, wide-ranging research, and professional services with a global perspective.
Excellent
Graduates are directed to become five stars periodontists, which means being a professional as a care provider, leadership and manager as a decision-maker, community leader, lecturer, and researcher, creator and innovator, communicator, and counselor.
The profile of Specialist Dentist in Periodontology graduates that must be achieved is formulated into Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLO), which include: having the ability in problem-solving, developing and practicing knowledge and technology in the field of dentistry, having the expertise in providing specialized professional healthcare services, having communication skills, building cooperation and nurturing a professional specialist spirit, possessing a socially minded, responsible, ethical, and professional character in their field in accordance with UGM values.
