Vision
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, aims to be a distinguished, innovative, globally-oriented program serving national and humanitarian interests, grounded in the values of cultural heritage and professionalism based on Pancasila.
Academic Vision: To become a leading program in managing mandibular condyle fractures using the “Puppet Technique" and in pediatric oral surgery.
Mission
- To provide specialist education in oral and maxillofacial surgery with a global perspective.
- To advance both basic and clinical research for the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- To produce graduates who are globally aware, professional, ethical, devout, and noble.
- To deliver excellent services in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- To serve as a national referral center for oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- To establish international and national collaborations with educational institutions, government agencies, businesses, and alumni to support education, research, and community service.
Objective
To make the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada, one of the leading programs in Indonesia with an international outlook through:
- Providing high-quality education that produces outstanding, competent, creative, and professional graduates supported by local wisdom.
- Conducting research that is environmentally conscious and responsive to health issues in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Offering community service in oral and maxillofacial surgery that improves quality of life.
- Ensuring program governance that is just, transparent, participatory, accountable, and integrated to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of resource utilization while considering the welfare of the academic community and educational staff.
- Forming strategic, synergistic, mutualistic, and sustainable partnerships to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process.
