To commemorate its 78th Anniversary, the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), organized a sports event titled Fun Run 2026 “Smile to Smile” on April 19, 2026. The event was held enthusiastically and festively as part of a broader anniversary celebration promoting healthy living, togetherness, and stronger networking among the academic community and the general public.
Held around the UGM campus area, the event attracted thousands of participants from various backgrounds, including students, lecturers, administrative staff, alumni, and members of the public. Beyond serving as a recreational sporting event, the FKG UGM Fun Run 2026 also became a platform for appreciating runners who demonstrated outstanding performances.
The Head of the Organizing Committee, drg. Tjut Intan Permata Sari, Sp.PM., explained that the Fun Run was part of the series of activities celebrating the 78th Anniversary of FKG UGM, which also included community service programs, symposiums, and alumni gatherings.Drg. Intan, as she is commonly known, stated that this year marked the second edition of the event, with a significantly higher number of participants compared to the previous year. “Last year there were around 500 participants, while this year we reached approximately 1,000 participants in the 3K and 5K categories.” She also emphasized that the event focused not only on competition but also on togetherness and healthy lifestyles. “This Fun Run symbolizes the spirit of FKG UGM to keep moving, stay healthy, and contribute to society. We appreciate all participants who joined with such enthusiasm,” she concluded.
