The Oral Medicine Specialist Program of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), has begun concrete steps in preparing its qualitative Self-Evaluation Report for the upcoming LAM-PTKes re-accreditation. These efforts include conducting workshops on completing the qualitative accreditation forms, forming an accreditation team, and providing continuous assistance throughout the documentation process. The program has also participated in accreditation clinics held both internally at UGM and externally.
The re-accreditation process begins with the formation of the LAM-PTKes accreditation team, followed by completing qualitative documents based on the eight accreditation criteria, supported by internal mentoring from FKG UGM. Afterward, the program will submit its accreditation application to LAM-PTKes, continue with the nurturing phase from LAM-PTKes, and undergo the assessor visitation process, scheduled for early 2026.
Planned Timeline for the Re-Accreditation Process of the Oral Medicine Specialist Program:
- Preparation of qualitative accreditation documents
- Submission of data verification request to UGM (August 2025)
- Registration for re-accreditation to LAM-PTKes (September 2025)
- Nurturing process with LAM-PTKes assessors (October 2025)
- Internal simulation at UGM (November 2025)
- LAM-PTKes assessor visitation (February 2026)
The accreditation team consists of all lecturers in the Oral Medicine Specialist Program and the Department of Oral Medicine FKG UGM, supported by the Academic Implementing Unit (UPPS), including the Deanery, all Unit Heads, educational staff, and students of the Oral Medicine Specialist Program under the coordination of the FKG UGM Quality Assurance Unit. Additionally, the team involves representatives from RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo as the affiliated clinical teaching hospital.
