This practicum is part of the Basic Topics in Clinical Dental Procedures (DPKKG) course and aims to enhance students' clinical skills in objective examination and vital signs analysis.

The sessions were interactive, with direct supervision from facilitators and assistants to ensure proper technique and understanding.

According to drg. Hendri, “We hope this practicum enhances students' competence in conducting basic clinical examinations. This activity significantly helps students understand the importance of physical examination and vital signs in diagnosing oral diseases.”

Echoing this, Prof. Supriatno emphasized the practicum's role in building students' practical expertise. “This activity is essential for equipping students with practical skills crucial for dentistry. I saw great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn from the participants, which is truly encouraging.”

Beyond improving students' technical skills, this practicum also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) – by training students in early disease detection; Goal 4 (Quality Education) – by integrating practical and experiential learning; and Goal 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goal) – by fostering collaboration among lecturers, clinical students, and residents to ensure high-quality training in modern dentistry.

By strengthening hands-on learning, FKG UGM is committed to preparing its students to deliver high-quality dental healthcare services in the future.
