The Department of Dental Conservation at Universitas Gadjah Mada’s Faculty of Dentistry (FKG UGM) held an orientation event for the new students of the Dental Conservation Specialist Program on 8 August 2024. This event aimed to help new students adapt and gain a better understanding of the program they are entering.
Dr. drg. Yulita Kristanti, M.Kes., Sp.KG (K), Head of the Department of Dental Conservation, opened the event with a warm welcome. “We want to ensure that new students feel welcomed and are ready to face the challenges of this program,” said Dr. Yulita. Lecturers, administrative staff, as well as residents from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts attended the event. The new students of the 2024 cohort entertained the audience with lively singing and dancing performances. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and group photos.
Dr. drg. Tunjung Nugraheni, M.Kes., Sp.KG (K), Head of the Dental Conservation Program, presented the program’s vision, mission, and curriculum. “This introduction is essential to give students a clear picture of what lies ahead and how they can seize the opportunities available,” said Dr. Tunjung.
This event aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). In addition to providing in-depth understanding, it also ensures that all students have equal access to information and support.
