Monitoring, Evaluation, and Work Plan Development of FKG UGM for 2025

The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), held a workshop on monitoring, evaluation, and work plan development on Wednesday, 12 February 2025, at the Dewa Ruci Room, Porta Hotel.

This activity was conducted to evaluate the achievements of research, community service, and collaboration programs implemented throughout 2024, as well as to develop more effective strategies and work programs for 2025.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. drg. Suryono, expressed his hope that through this workshop, FKG UGM will continue to thrive and contribute meaningfully within the Academic Health System. He also highlighted FKG UGM’s responsibility in supporting regions across Central Java, Yogyakarta, and all areas of Kalimantan.

The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Phil. Gabriel Lele as the keynote speaker, who shared insights on strategies to strengthen institutional capacity in achieving performance targets through research, community engagement, and collaboration.

In his presentation, Gabriel pointed out that researchers and academics often lack the capacity or sensitivity to translate knowledge into policy. “Therefore, it is essential to consolidate knowledge that is policy-sensitive, leverage policy windows —particularly structural spaces such as regulatory mandates—and equip lecturers and educational staff with advocacy skills,” he emphasized.

drg. Trianna Wahyu Utami, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration, added that one of the key outputs of this activity is a report on the monitoring and evaluation of the 2024 programs. “Together with the team, we also drafted the 2025 work plan aligned with the faculty's vision and mission,” she said.

During the workshop, unit managers presented their performance achievements for 2024, including the challenges faced. These units included the Research Unit, Community Service Unit, Collaboration Unit, iDSDC Unit, and the Dental Medicine Magazine Unit.

This workshop is expected to serve as a platform for reflection and continuous improvement toward achieving the 2025 performance targets.
