Hilmy Irsyadi Hanif, a Master's student in Dental Sciences at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), participated in an international symposium hosted by the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, on 20-21 May 2024. During this event, Hilmy took part in the scientific poster competition with his research topic "The Role of Curcumin in Jaw Tumors."
In addition to presenting his research through a poster, Hilmy also attended various seminar sessions held over the two days. The seminar was attended by speakers from several countries who discussed the latest advancements in dental science and research.
His participation in this forum provided Hilmy with the opportunity to deepen his knowledge and broaden his perspective on the latest innovations in dental science.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University, Prof. Pornchai Jansisyanont, expressed his great expectations in his opening speech.
“It is hoped that participation from many countries will help enhance the development of dental science,” he said. This statement reflects the spirit of international collaboration to advance research and knowledge in the field of dental health.
Hilmy’s participation in this symposium aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), which supports global collaboration and the enhancement of education quality in the health field.
Through his involvement, this FKG UGM student contributed to enriching academic perspectives and promoting progress in dental research on the international stage.
