Library Locker Borrowing Guide – FKG UGM

The Library of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), serves not only as a hub for academic information and research but also as a comfortable space for students to study and develop themselves. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education and accessible learning resources, the library has introduced a locker borrowing service to enhance visitor convenience. This initiative allows students to securely store their personal belongings while they study.

The locker borrowing service is designed to provide students with a safe and convenient way to store their items. This is especially important in an academic setting where students often carry valuable and personal belongings. By offering this service, the FKG UGM Library takes a significant step in fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Locker Borrowing Guidelines

  1. Identity Verification: Library visitors must present a valid identification card, such as National ID (KTP), Driver’s License (SIM), Student ID (KTM), or other valid identification. This step ensures a secure and organized locker borrowing system.
  2. Key Distribution: After visitors present their IDs, library staff retain them and provide them with locker keys. This process is designed to be quick and efficient, allowing students to focus on their studies without unnecessary delays.
  3. Record Keeping: Library staff will maintain records of visitors’ identification cards and the corresponding locker numbers. This system not only helps track locker usage but also ensures the security of students’ belongings.

The introduction of this locker borrowing service aligns with the SDGs by promoting affordable access to educational resources and facilities. By providing a secure place for students to store their belongings, the FKG Library creates an environment where students can concentrate on their studies without concern for their personal items.

Beyond the locker borrowing service, the FKG Library continues to improve its facilities and resources to support students' academic journeys. The library is equipped with a variety of books, journals, and digital resources essential for research and learning in the field of dentistry.

The FKG Library’s efforts to create a comfortable and secure learning environment reflect its dedication to inclusivity and accessibility in education. By ensuring students have access to the necessary facilities, the library contributes to the overall academic success of its visitors.
