Prof. Dr. drg. Widjijono, S.U., is a Professor of Biomaterials Science at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He earned his Sarjana Utama (SU) degree from the Graduate Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada and his Doctorate from Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. His thesis and dissertation focused on the Utilization of Winged Bean Seeds and Their Effects on Blood, Bone, and Tooth Calcium Content in White Rats. As a professor, he has produced various scholarly works and publications, including books, proceedings, and articles in both national and international journals. Over the past five years, Prof. Widjijono’s publications have extensively discussed using nanosisal as a natural fiber in dentistry. Additionally, he has co-authored several multidisciplinary works with his thesis and dissertation students, covering topics such as ceramic materials, the synthesis and characterization of mineral trioxide aggregate from limestone, the utilization of silica from rice husk ash, and several other publications on metallic materials. Besides his contributions to dentistry, he is also one of the authors of the book "Desaku Kampus Biru," which is used to coach UGM community service program (KKN) participants before their field deployment.
