drg. Rezmelia Sari, MSc., Sp.Perio, Subsp. R.P.I.D. (K), is a faculty member in the Department of Periodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) Yogyakarta. She completed her undergraduate and dentist profession education at FKG UGM and her Master’s degree in Medical and Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Molecular Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing (FKKMK) UGM. She earned her specialization in periodontics from the Periodontics Specialist Program at FKG UGM, with expertise (subspecialty) in Periodontal Reconstruction and Dental Implants.
In addition to her educational achievements, drg. Rezmelia, also known as drg. Ayi, is actively involved in research and community service. Her research interests include periodontal regeneration and the identification of biomolecular markers in soft tissue post-periodontal surgery using blood concentrates (Platelet-rich Fibrin). Several of her research studies and case reports have been published in reputable national and international journals and presented at national and international scientific seminars.
Among her accolades are the First Prize at the Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology (APSP) Scientific Meeting in Thailand in 2022 and the First Prize at the Contemporary Periodontics Seminar in 2023. Since 2021, drg. Rezmelia has pursued doctoral studies in the Doctoral Program in Dental Science at UGM, focusing on Interdental Papilla Regeneration. Gardening and cooking are her hobbies, which she enjoys in her spare time while fulfilling the Tridharma of Higher Education.
