drg. Nur Rahman Ahmad Seno Aji, MDSc., Sp.Perio. Subsp.M.P (K) is a faculty member in the Department of Periodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), Yogyakarta. He completed high school at SMA N 1 Temanggung, Central Java. He pursued his undergraduate and dentist profession education at FKG UGM. He obtained his master’s degree from the Master's Program in Clinical Dental Science (IKGK) FKG UGM, focusing on periodontics. He earned his specialization in periodontics from the Specialist Program at FKG UGM, with a subspecialty in Periodontal Medicine.
Commonly known as drg. Seno, he is actively involved in research and community service. His research interests include the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic conditions such as diabetes mellitus and cancer. Several of his studies have been published in international and national journals. He also mentors students in scientific competitions and is an inventor of several innovative products, including Gamadentical XR and Propasdent. His hobbies include videography, photography, and painting, which he channels into creating documentary and educational videos. He is also an active member of professional organizations such as the Central Indonesian Periodontics Association (IPERI), the Yogyakarta Regional IPERI, and the Sleman Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI) branch.
Currently, drg. Seno is pursuing his Ph.D. in the Doctoral Programme in Oral Sciences (FINDOS) at the University of Helsinki, Finland, with a scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. His research focuses on the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic conditions, particularly cancer, emphasizing Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP) biomarkers.
