drg. Isti Rahayu Suryani is a specialist in Dental Radiology at the Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). She obtained her Bachelor's degree (S1) in Dentist Profession Education from the Faculty of Dentistry, UGM, in 2006 and her Master of Biotechnology degree from the Graduate School of UGM in 2011. In 2017, she earned a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (Sp. Rad OM) from Universitas Padjajaran. Currently, drg. Isti is a lecturer at the Department of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, Faculty of Dentistry, UGM. 

She is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Indonesian Dental Radiology Association (IKARGI), serving as a board member of PDGI Sleman. She is also an active member of the Asian Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, the European Academy of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, and the International Association of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. 

drg. Isti is a PhD candidate in the OMFS-IMPATH research group at KU Leuven, supervised by Prof. Reinhilde Jacobs. Her PhD research focuses on "Medication-related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) Radiological Grading to Support Early-Stage Diagnosis."
