Fania Chairunisa has been working in dentistry since 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Medicine degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at Universitas Gadjah Mada. She is a lecturer, researcher, and dental practitioner in private practice in Yogyakarta.
Her research interests include preventive dentistry, oral health promotion, epidemiology, and behavioral dentistry. She is involved in the Health Promoting School Initiative in Indonesia Using A Multidimensional Approach pilot project and other projects that review and update the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Dentists in collaboration with WHO Indonesia. She also reviews and analyzes Oral Health Policies in Japan as part of the 8020 Campaign Policy Analysis. She is pursuing her doctoral studies (Ph.D.) in the Division of Preventive Dentistry at Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Japan.
