drg. Ayu Fresno Argadianti, Sp.PM, or preferred to be called drg. Aga - in honor of her parents’ favorite tennis player, Andre Agassi - was born in Purwokerto on 4 October 1991, when her father studied abroad at Fresno State University, USA, hence given the name Fresno. She spent her childhood and finished basic education in Malang, East Java. In 2009, she was accepted to the Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and had her Dentist Hippocratic Oath in September 2015. In 2016, she started the Oral Medicine Residency Programme at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, and became a Junior Lecturer at UGM, specifically at the Department of Oral Medicine.
drg. Aga graduated in 2019 with an Oral Medicine Specialist degree, with an almost perfect mark (GPA of 3.96), and then returned to UGM to help reactivate the Oral Medicine Residency Programme at UGM. While preparing to reactivate the program, she served as the head of the Community Service Unit for two years, from 2020-2021. She succeeded in winning The Faculty of Dentistry UGM with “The Most Participant” in 2020 and “The Faculty of Dentistry with The Best Education Material” in 2021 in the national event of “Bulan Kesehatan Gigi Nasional (BKGN)” 2020 and 2021, collaborating with PT Unilever Indonesia TBK.
To bring diversity to the Department of Oral Medicine UGM, drg. Aga has a research focus on Oral Cancer. drg. Aga plans to continue this topic in the Doctoral Programme, especially in the early detection of Oral Cancer. In her spare time, drg. Aga enjoys reading books (ones written by Mitch Albom) and listening to music (currently a baby Carat and forever Backstreet Boys fan).
