Sri Widiati has been working as a lecturer and researcher in the field of dentistry for almost 40 years. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in dentistry and dentist profession education degree from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada. She earned a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree from Yale University, USA, and a doctoral degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Her research interests and focus are on preventive and promotive dentistry. She has numerous publications in national and international journals on oral hygiene status, childhood caries experience, and Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL). She teaches preventive dentistry, health promotion, demographics/environmental health, survey and epidemiology, and research methodology in the bachelor's (S1) dentistry and dental hygiene programs. She also teaches in the Master's (S2) program in Dental Science and supervises dental co-assistant students.
