Dr. drg. Niswati Fathmah Rosyida, MDSc, Sp.Ort. is a faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). She hails from Rembang and completed her undergraduate degree (S.KG) at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2005. She then pursued her Master's degree in Dental Science at UGM in 2012 and her Doctorate in Dental Science at UGM in 2016, with a dissertation titled "Formulation of Gelatin-Simvastatin Hydrogel and Its Application in Bone Remodeling Processes During the Retention Period of Orthodontic Treatment." She was awarded the Unggulan-DIKTI scholarship in 2014 and the LPDP scholarship in 2016.
Dr. drg. Niswati Fathmah Rosyida, MDSc, Sp. Ort., known as Dr. Anis, has numerous impressive academic achievements. In addition to her role as a lecturer, she is a researcher who has produced various scientific works and publications. Her expertise lies in the field of biomaterials in orthodontic treatment. Some of her published scientific articles include The Use of Polymers to Enhance Post-Orthodontic Tooth Stability, Solubility Enhancement of Simvastatin through Surfactant Addition for Development of Hydrophobic Drug-Loaded Gelatin Hydrogel, and Preparation of Simvastatin Hydrogel through Arginine Addition for Drug Delivery System.
Beyond her academic achievements, Dr. Anis is actively involved in social activities, such as community service projects with PT Kaltim Methanol Industri (PT KMI) in 2023, community outreach and screening for cleft lip and palate awareness during "Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness Month - The Happy Smile Charity," and organizing a one-hour webinar and open donation event titled "Dental Care During the COVID-19 Emergency: What to do?" among others. She has also served as a presenter in several educational outreach programs, both online and offline.
Dr. Anis has received numerous accolades and awards, including First Runner Up in the Case Report Category at JJOC 2023, First Runner Up in the Research Article Category at the 15th IAO Annual Meeting in 2022, and being among the TOP 5 of the Merck Young Scientist Award in 2018.
Her motto is "after difficulty comes ease," reflecting her diligent and resilient personality. In her spare time, Dr. Anis enjoys cooking and gardening.
