A lecturer hailing from the eastern part of Yogyakarta, specifically the Prambanan area, has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Biomaterials Science, Faculty of Dentistry, since 1986. Dr. drg. Harsini, MS, commonly known as drg. Harsini, is an alumnus of SMA Negeri Kalasan who pursued her undergraduate and dentist profession degrees at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Her motivation to gain new knowledge and experience led her to pursue a master's degree at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. She has continued her dedication to teaching at Universitas Gadjah Mada while undertaking doctoral studies in dental science. Her extensive experience teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, coupled with her keen interest in dental biomaterials, particularly herbal and ceramic materials, has led to various innovations and publications. One of her significant contributions to research and community service is the development of mouthwash with natural active ingredients derived from cashew apple extract, highlighting a plant native to her region.
