Dr. drg. Dyah Karunia, Sp. Ort, Subsp. DDPK(K) is a faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), Yogyakarta. She completed her undergraduate and dentist profession education at FKG UGM in 1992. She earned her specialist degree in orthodontics from the Orthodontic Specialist Program at FKG UGM in 2003 and further specialized in Complex Dentocraniofacial Disharmony, becoming a consultant in 2017. She continued her academic development by completing her doctoral degree in 2020.

Dr. Dyah is actively involved in various research activities and community service. Her research interests include orthodontic biomaterials, cephalometry in orthodontics, and clinical orthodontics. Through her research, she has made significant contributions to the field, with several publications in national and international journals. She also keeps up with the latest advancements in orthodontics by participating in various competency and certification programs. 

Dr. Dyah has extensive work experience. She served as a medical staff member at the Bengkulu Regional Office of the Ministry of Health (1992-1998) and as a medical staff member at Dr. Sardjito General Hospital (1998-2004). Currently, she is an active faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at FKG UGM (2005-present) and also teaches in the Orthodontic Specialist Program (PPDGS I) at FKG UGM (2009-present). She is currently the Head of the Orthodontics Study Program at FKG UGM. Additionally, she is a member of several professional associations, including the International Association of Orthodontics (IAO), IKORTI Komda DIY Jateng, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and PDGI Sleman.
