Dr. drg. Andi Triawan, Sp.Ort., Subsp. DDPK(K) is a faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), Yogyakarta. He spent his childhood and adolescence in Kebumen, Central Java. He completed his undergraduate and dentist profession education at FKG UGM in 1995. He earned his specialist degree in orthodontics (Sp.Ort) from the Orthodontic Specialist Program at FKG UGM, focusing on orthodontics in 2005. He received his doctoral degree from the Doctoral Program in Dental Science at FKG UGM 2015. He obtained a subspecialty consultant degree in Complex Dentocraniofacial Disharmony (DDPK) from the Indonesian Orthodontic College in 2022. He was awarded the Satyalancana Karya Satya X and XX Years as a civil servant for his long service.
In addition to fulfilling the Tridharma of Higher Education, he has held various organizational roles at the structural level. He has served as Head of Puskesmas Bakarangan, Chair of Procurement and Logistics at UGM Academic Hospital, and Director of Human Resources and Academics at UGM Academic Hospital. He serves as Deputy Director of Services, Education, and Training at Prof. Soedomo Dental and Oral Hospital, UGM. Dr. Andi is an active IKORTI DIY Jateng and PDGI Kota Yogyakarta member.
Besides being an active lecturer in the Department of Orthodontics at FKG UGM, he is also actively involved in various community service activities. He continues to pursue his interest in scientific research. His research interests since his specialist and doctoral studies have focused on orthodontic biomaterials and biological tooth movement. With his extensive experience in hospital management, professional organizations, and academia, Dr. Andi supports the vision of the Orthodontic Specialist Program at FKG UGM to become a superior, innovative, globally oriented program dedicated to national and humanitarian interests, embodying cultural values and professionalism based on Pancasila.
