Strengthening Collaboration Among New UGM Lecturers through Outbound Activities at the Agricultural Technology Innovation Center

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized an outbound event at the Agricultural Technology Innovation Center for new lecturers on Tuesday, 8 October 2024. This event aimed to strengthen relationships among new lecturers while introducing UGM's collaborative work culture.

The outbound event was attended by Drg. Rahmadani Puspitasari, MDSc., along with fellow new lecturers from various faculties at UGM. Through a series of engaging activities, such as group strategy games and physical challenges, participants were encouraged to step out of their comfort zones. These activities aimed to enhance communication skills, build trust among individuals, and strengthen teamwork.

In addition to the outbound activities, participants had the opportunity to explore the facilities available at UGM's Agricultural Technology Innovation Center. These facilities support creativity and innovative thinking, reinforcing UGM’s role as an educational institution that fosters innovation across disciplines.

Through this initiative, UGM hopes that new lecturers can develop strong professional relationships with their colleagues and enhance interpersonal skills essential in academia. This outbound program also serves as a platform to inspire a fresh spirit in their academic careers at UGM, reinforcing their commitment to contributing to education and research development.

This activity is one of FKG UGM’s tangible efforts in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by creating a harmonious and collaborative work environment for newly appointed educators.
