Hilmy Irsyadi Hanif, a Master's student in Dental Science at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), successfully completed his research proposal seminar at Classroom D, S2 IKG Building, FKG UGM on Thursday, 31 October 2024. The seminar, which began at 07:30, was attended by the supervising and examining professors who supported the research process on the effects of natural substances on oral cancer cells.
Prof. drg. Heni Susilowati, M.Kes., Ph.D., and Dr. rer. nat. Risky Oktriani, S.Si., M.Biotech., M.Sc., the academic advisors, were present alongside Prof. Dr. drg. Juni Handajani, M.Kes., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. drg. Dewi Agustina, M.DSc., who acted as examiners. The discussion lasted for one and a half hours, focusing on the methodology and relevance of Hilmy’s proposed research.
In her opening remarks, Prof. Heni stated that the seminar ran smoothly and that the student was deemed eligible to start the research after making several revisions to the proposal.
“Hilmy Irsyadi Hanif is approved to begin the research, make the revisions, and proceed with the ethical review process soon,” said Prof. Heni.
This proposal seminar reflects FKG UGM’s commitment to supporting relevant and high-quality scientific research. As part of the effort to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG Goal 4 on Quality Education, it aims to enhance research and innovation quality through student development and intensive academic mentoring.
