Preclinic Lab
Based on UGM Rector Regulation No. 5 of 2015 regarding laboratory management, Article 6 on laboratory organization, laboratories can be: (1) Basic laboratories, (2) Scientific field laboratories, and (3) Integrated laboratories. In practice, the Preclinic Laboratory and Skills Lab lean more towards being basic laboratories, which means they are responsible for organizing educational functions including practicum and/or Skills Lab for undergraduate students (Bachelor's degree in Dentistry and Dental Hygiene), Profession, and Postgraduate levels. With global developments and demands, the Preclinic Laboratory and Skills Lab will transform their roles into scientific laboratories that conduct education (practicum and skills lab) and research for the academic community.
Practicum activities and/or research conducted in the Preclinic Laboratory and Skills Lab are spread across several facilities within the FKG UGM environment, namely the Dental Learning Center Building (Basement floor, DLC 1st floor, DLC 4th floor), 5th floor Preclinic lab in the OECF Building, Phantoms in the Harkati Dewanto Building, and Phantoms in the Soetatmi Suryo Building. Below is the usage graph of the building for Preclinic Lab and Skills Lab activities.
