Excitement of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Celebration with IKGA FKG UGM

The Program of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry (IKGA FKG) UGM also shared in the excitement of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day celebration on 17 August 2024. The event was attended by pediatric dentistry specialist students, lecturers, and administrative staff of IKGA FKG UGM.

The celebration kicked off with a morning exercise session, enthusiastically joined by all participants, followed by a series of fun competitions between resident cohorts, such as sarong races, ball dribbling, balloon relays, nail-in-bottle challenges, sock races, and cheer competitions. "This event was not only lively but also a great opportunity to strengthen the bonds among the academic community," said drg. Arif Rahman Setyawan, one of the participating lecturers.

Each resident cohort gave their best effort to win the competitions, as exciting prizes awaited the winners. The atmosphere became even more vibrant with the creativity displayed by each cohort. The event concluded with a joint prayer and lunch, further fostering the spirit of togetherness.

This celebration was not only a way to commemorate Independence Day but also a means to strengthen the relationships among the academic community. Moreover, this activity supported SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). It is hoped that through such events, the IKGA FKG UGM department can enhance harmony and collaboration within the academic environment.
