iDSDC Conducts Support for Accreditation Preparation

The Education and Training Unit of the Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) held a workshop on "Assistance and Review of Accreditation Documents" for the the Interdisciplinary Dentistry Skills Development Center (iDSDC) on Wednesday, 18 September, 2024. The event took place in Room 207, 2nd Floor of the DLC Building at FKG UGM, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM WIB.

The purpose of this event was to refine the accreditation document for iDSDC in preparation for the accreditation visit by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. During the event, FKG UGM collaborated with the Assistance Team from the Center for Health Policy and Management of the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health (PKMK FK-KMK) UGM, which provided intensive support in reviewing and improving the accreditation document for iDSDC.

Participants in this event included representatives from the PKMK FK-KMK UGM team, Maria Adelheid Lelyana, SE, and Andriani Yulianti, MPH, as well as the iDSDC team from FKG UGM, including several lecturers and staff directly involved in the preparation of the accreditation document. During the assistance process, various important aspects related to accreditation standards were discussed in depth, with the aim of ensuring that the document meets the criteria set by the accreditation body.

The assistance team indicated that the accreditation document prepared by the iDSDC team was already quite good. “Improvements are needed in several areas, namely organization, quality management, resources, and training implementation,” said Andriani Yulianti.

This event has a strategic impact in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 related to quality education, and Goal 17 which emphasizes strong partnerships to achieve goals.

Through this support, FKG UGM aims to ensure that the accreditation document prepared can contribute to the continuous improvement of dental education quality. It is hoped that the iDSDC accreditation process will proceed more smoothly, allowing FKG UGM to continue enhancing the quality of its education and services, in line with the faculty's vision to become a leading dental education institution in Indonesia and worldwide.
