On 8 July 2024, 44 students from SMAN 1 Sidomulyo Lampung visited the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM). The visit aimed to provide insights into academic life, particularly at FKG UGM.
Haryanto, S.Pd., M.M., one of the accompanying teachers, explained that the purpose of the visit was to understand the academic environment at FKG UGM. “Students, pay attention to the important information provided as not all schools have the opportunity to visit here,” said Haryanto.
The Faculty of Dentistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada is a viable option for students considering higher education. The undergraduate programs include the Bachelor of Dental Education and Dental Hygiene.
drg. M. Fahmi Alfian, M.P.H., a speaker for the day, advised students to prepare diligently and study hard due to the highly competitive admission process. “In 2023, the admission ratio for the Dental Medicine program was 1:41, and for the Dental Hygiene program, it was 1:15,” Fahmi noted.
As a university with a strong commitment to education, Universitas Gadjah Mada offers extensive opportunities for those seeking higher education, including various scholarships.
The visit is expected to provide a clear picture of academic life at FKG UGM and motivate students to pursue their dreams of studying dentistry.
This event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
