The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) officially welcomed a visit from Oral and Dental Hospital of Universitas Trisakti (RSGM Usakti) at the OECF Building foyer on Friday, 26 July 2024. This visit further strengthens the long-standing positive relationship between the two institutions.

Trianna Wahyu Utami, MDSc., Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration at FKG UGM, announced plans for joint community service activities between the two institutions. “Given our long history of friendship, both institutions have agreed to enhance the quality and quantity of collaboration in the tridarma of higher education, including through community service activities,” said drg. Trianna.
In her speech, Dr. drg. Mita Juliawati, the Director of RSGM Usakti, expressed gratitude for the warm reception from FKG UGM. “We hope this visit further strengthens our institutional relationship and leads to activities that positively impact the community,” she said.
The Director of RSGM Usakti was accompanied by her team, including the Deputy Director of Services and Education, Deputy Director of General Administration and Finance, Deputy Director of Medical Support and Infrastructure, the Chair of Komkordik, and the Chair of the Internal Supervisory Unit.
Dr. drg. Julita Hendrartini, M.Kes., AKK, the Director of RSGM UGM Prof. Soedomo, welcomed the visit warmly. “There are numerous opportunities for collaboration among the three institutions, beyond advanced education and other fields,” stated Drg. Julita.
The visit also included representatives from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Trisakti, including the Dean, four Vice Deans, and the Head of the Dentist Profession Education Study Program.
This visit was an opportunity for all parties to discuss various collaboration opportunities, especially in community service. In 2021, FKG UGM signed a collaboration agreement in the tridarma of higher education with FKG Usakti, which is set to expire in September 2024.
“Given our long-standing friendship, it is possible that new collaborations will emerge between FKG UGM, RSGM Usakti, and FKG Usakti in the tridarma of higher education, including community service activities,” Trianna concluded at the end of the meeting.
With the strengthening of institutional relationships, it is hoped that various collaborative programs beneficial to the community, particularly in dental and oral health, will be developed.
