Amid technological advancement and evolving information dynamics, online meetings have become a primary necessity, particularly for higher education institutions requiring speed and efficiency. The Public Relations & IT Unit of FKG UGM supports this need through the implementation of Microsoft Teams and Google Meet applications designated by UGM’s Directorate of Information Technology. Technical guidance was provided by Adi Nugroho, ST, IT staff at FKG UGM. The first session was opened by Fajar Budi Harsakti, SE, Head of Public Relations at FKG UGM, who emphasized that this training serves as the foundation for online meeting needs within the faculty.
FKG UGM is preparing a gradual transition toward Microsoft Teams and Google Meet as official online meeting platforms to strengthen digital system integration and improve academic and administrative coordination efficiency.
The program targeted faculty members and educational staff to ensure optimal utilization of the main features of both platforms in daily activities.

Training was conducted in four batches on January 26–27, 2026, and February 4–5, 2026, at the CBT Center Laboratory, DLC Building, 5th Floor. Each session lasted two hours with a maximum capacity of 50 participants. Participants were required to bring laptops for hands-on practice.
Training materials covered online meeting management, document collaboration, and integrated institutional account features. Self-learning materials were also provided to accelerate adaptation.
FKG UGM emphasized that successful digital transformation depends not only on application availability but also on consistent user adoption. Therefore, a gradual approach was chosen to ensure academic activities remain uninterrupted.
The faculty hopes that MS Teams and Google Meet will become part of a more efficient, integrated, and sustainable digital work culture within FKG UGM.
