The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM) held its morning assembly on Tuesday (30 June), which also served as a farewell and welcome ceremony for two administrative staff members who had received promotions within Universitas Gadjah Mada. The two staff members were Rya Mardikawakti, S.E., M.Acc., and Dyana Rakhmasari Kusumaningsih, S.E., M.Ec.Dev.
Dean of FKG UGM, Prof. Drg. Suryono, S.H., M.M., Ph.D., expressed his pride in the promotions achieved within approximately two years. He emphasized that establishing a structured career pathway for administrative staff within the faculty is essential to ensure continuous professional development and prevent stagnation in human resource capacity.
Dean Suryono expressed his hope that this career development initiative would enable administrative staff to continue advancing professionally, including taking on strategic positions at the university level.
"Our hope is to establish a clear career pathway for the Faculty of Dentistry's administrative staff so that they can continue progressing in their professional careers," said Suryono.
He further encouraged both staff members to uphold integrity, commitment, and honesty in their new roles, emphasizing that they would continue to represent the good name and reputation of FKG UGM in their new assignments.
On the same occasion, Rya Mardikawakti expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the faculty leadership and the entire FKG UGM academic community. He thanked the faculty for the guidance, encouragement, and opportunities that had enabled them to develop both their professional potential and careers. Rya remarked that he hoped the event would represent only a symbolic farewell rather than a true separation.
"We sincerely apologize if, during our work and interactions, there were any shortcomings on our part. To our colleagues who will succeed us, we hope you will maintain the systems that are already working well. As for areas that still need improvement, we encourage you to evaluate them and use them as opportunities for further development," he said.
Dyana Rakhmasari Kusumaningsih has been appointed Head of the Administrative Office at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada, while Rya Mardikawakti has assumed a managerial position in Innovation Project Management UGM.
To ensure the faculty's operations continue smoothly following these promotions, FKG UGM has reassigned several staff members to new positions, including Wisnu Budi (Head of the Education and Teaching Unit), Awaluddin Nurhasan (Head of the Planning, Financial Management, and Budgeting Unit), Buana Yaksa Surya Atmaja (Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Unit), and Rini Pamungkasih (Human Resources Development and Public Relations Unit).
