Two UGM Students Participate in an Exchange Program at Tokushima University, Japan

Yogyakarta, 18 November 2024 – Two Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) students, Morincha Radin Pradhanta Yustanto and Aanisah Fauziyyah Nurul Hadi, are participating in a student exchange program at Tokushima University, Japan. The program runs from 11 to 22 November 2024, and will be centered at Shinkura Kaikan, Tokushima University’s official guest house.

During this program, the two students from the Faculty of Dentistry at UGM will deepen their understanding of Japan's dental education system. Their schedule includes attending lectures, research training, visits to dental hospitals, exploration of skills laboratories, and access to medical libraries.

Additionally, the program involves accompanying lecturers from UGM, who will have the opportunity to share experiences and insights on Indonesia’s dental education and research systems. This initiative is a significant step in strengthening academic and cultural collaboration between Universitas Gadjah Mada and Tokushima University.

drg. Nunuk Purwanti, M.Kes., Ph.D., one of the program coordinators from UGM, stated that this program not only provides academic development opportunities but also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in Quality Education (SDG 4) and Global Partnerships (SDG 17).

This program is expected to broaden the perspectives of UGM students and lecturers in strengthening their competencies at the international level. Additionally, it aims to create a positive impact on global collaboration in health and education.
