Prof. drg. Diatri Nari Ratih, M.Kes, Ph.D, Sp.KG.(K), a lecturer at the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), participated in an intensive training session on Modern Surgical Microendodontics held on 17 November 2024, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The training was organized by CAPP Events & Training, a leading international education organization specializing in high-quality dental training, attracting participants from various countries to learn the latest techniques in endodontic microsurgery.
Guided by Prof. Damiano Pasqualini, a renowned endodontist from Italy, the training combined theory with hands-on practice. Participants gained in-depth insights into CBCT data analysis, soft tissue management, flap design techniques, and microsurgical endodontic interventions.
The hands-on session covered osteotomy techniques, apicoectomy, retrograde filling, and microsuturing on soft tissue with high precision. The use of advanced microscopy technology and the latest materials helped ensure more accurate and effective treatment outcomes.
"This training is highly beneficial, especially in providing better solutions for complex endodontic cases. I gained new insights while also strengthening my practical skills," said Prof. Diatri.
This event also served as an opportunity to build professional networks with international experts, strengthen global collaborations, and share insights on the latest innovations in dentistry. Through this training, Prof. Diatri is expected to apply these advanced techniques to enhance dental healthcare services in Indonesia while introducing modern methods to the professional dental community in the country.
By participating in this training, FKG UGM also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), with a focus on improving the quality of dental care and dental education in Indonesia.
