In commemoration of the 76th Dies Natalis of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), drg. Ayu Fresno Argadianti, Sp. PM., a lecturer from the Department of Oral Diseases (IPM) FKG UGM, had the opportunity to deliver a presentation at the panel lecture held on 26-27 April 2024.
The panel lecture was held with great enthusiasm, featuring in-depth discussions centered around the main theme of this year's Dies Natalis, “Annual Symposium: Utilizing Digital Dentistry to Navigate Society 5.0.”
During this event, the IPM department lecturer presented a lecture titled “Oral Cancer Detection: Now and Then,” in collaboration with the Department of Oral Biology, with Prof. drg. Tetiana Haniastuti, M.Kes., Ph.D., as a speaker, and the session was moderated by drg. Tjut Intan Permata Sari, Sp. PM.
This 76th Dies Natalis of FKG UGM not only served as a moment of reflection for the entire academic community but also as a platform for sharing knowledge and the latest innovations in dentistry.
Lecturers from the Department of IPM FKG UGM participated in this panel lecture reinforcing the institution’s commitment to continually advancing knowledge and technology, particularly in oral health.
Thus, the 76th Dies Natalis serves as a reminder of the importance of collaboration and innovation in facing future challenges.
The event provided new insights into oral cancer detection methods, which are highly beneficial to the public, ranging from basic examinations and cytology swab tests to the latest developments involving Artificial Intelligence.
As a result, this year’s Dies Natalis further strengthens FKG UGM's commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
