In the era of digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding, including in the field of dentistry. Recognizing the potential of AI to enhance practice efficiency, the Orthodontics Program of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FKG UGM), held an online workshop titled “Professionalism Ethics in Digitalization of Educational Content for Orthodontists” on Sunday, 11 August 2024.
The workshop, conducted via Zoom, was attended by orthodontic residents and orthodontic specialists. The event featured Sultan Aulia, a Professional AI Tools Trainer, as the keynote speaker. He shared insights and practical skills on “How to Use AI Tools in Daily Practice.”
In this interactive session, participants were encouraged to explore various AI applications that can assist orthodontic specialists in their day-to-day tasks. Sultan Aulia also provided tips and tricks for selecting and using the right AI tools to meet the specific needs of each practice.
This workshop was part of the Orthodontics Department's Community Service Program at FKG UGM. Through this initiative, the Orthodontics Program aims to prepare orthodontic specialists to face the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
With a better understanding of AI utilization, it is expected that orthodontists will be able to enhance the efficiency and quality of their services, ultimately providing greater benefits to their patients.
